I aim at understanding student's potential and guide them towards learning the technicalities and nuances of music extensively. I am very student friendly and passionate to teach to all age groups.I wish to spread the knowledge of music in its rich tradition and maintain the artistic content behind it. I teach students on a one to one basis and give complete individual attention and choose to teach according to the student's potential. I also See that they also learn the tala/rythm intensively so that the learning process is complete in every way.

Highly recommended!

I’m glad that I found Sheela for my daughter’s music classes, I can say she is an excellent teacher. My daughter has no background in Indian music and Sheela has been teaching Carnatic music for the past 6 months and now I can see a huge improvement from where she was before. I really like the way she teaches with patience and clarity. She also started teaching Slokas on our request. My daughter is enjoying her classes very much. I would highly recommend Sheela to anyone who wants to learn Indian music.

She is the best!

I have twin boys and was looking for someone who will make them learn Music while enjoying it.. and ... She is the one!! She knows how to get attention of the kids and is detailed, friendly, patient, explains very well. She corrects mistakes with so much details and makes it easy for the student to understand music.

Basics of Carnatic music

She’s a very good teacher and effective with online classes. The teaching approach & step by step covering fundamentals is commendable. We learnt lots of new things in music from her.We feel more comfortable and we are eager to learn more.

Very Good and Patient teacher

I have a 6 year old son who was showing interested in singing and we were searching a certified Carnatic teacher for him. When we were searching we found many teachers and had demo classes from many. But we weren't feeling satisfied until we meet Sheela mam. She was really patient and good in teaching my kid who is very naughty at times. I felt she has very good experience training kids of his age. Its been four months since my kid started having classes with Sheela mam and i feel he is improving. I strongly recommend Sheela mam for any age group people who is interested to learn Carnatic singing.

Excellent training

Mrs. Sheela Sundar is an excellent teacher. She is detailed, friendly, patient and explains very well. She corrects mistakes with so much details and makes it easy for the student to understand music. I have a better understanding of swaras, pitch and ragas after attending her classes. I am happy to take music classes with Mrs. Sheela.

She is the best teacher

She is an excellent teacher who focuses on improving the quality of the student's voice and helps in voice culture. She gives regular homeworks and deadlines to complete a specific kriti or varnam. She is the best teacher for any student who aims to learn Carnatic music from scratch and is a very hardworking and dedicated teacher. She never fails to disappoint any student/parent and will definitely make her students shine in the future...
