I am a highly experienced English teacher who has gained twenty-five years' teaching and management experience. For four and a half of those years, I was a Teaching Coordinator teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) full time as well as developing curriculum and assessment at Mahidol University International College, Thailand. More recently, I worked at BAE Systems, Dharhan, Saudi Arabia, teaching technical English to Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force cadets. For 5 and a half years, I was employed at a technical college in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where I worked as the ICT English Team Leader with teaching duties. My last teaching post was at a technical and vocational school in Bahrain and my contract finished at the end of July, 2018. I am now officially retired from full time teaching

In addition to a BA Philosophy & Literature degree, I also graduated with an MA Writing from an Australian University called Swinburne University of Technology, and I have an MA in Educational Leadership & Management at Leeds Beckett (formerly Leeds Metropolitan) University, the UK. I also have the Cambridge RSA CELTA, a Certificate in Teaching Business English, and a variety of other postgraduate certificates related to teaching business and management.

I also previously taught EAP in the UK at the University of East Anglia (2007) and at the University of Birmingham over two summers (2008-09). I was there teaching postgraduate students Business English on a 10-week, pre-sessional course. I finished co-authoring an academic course book for The University of Birmingham entitled – ‘Listening to Lectures’. I also taught a Presesional at the University of Southampton in 2019-2020 where I lead a class of 18 Chinese students to successful completion.

In addition, I am a published author of a book about living and working in Thailand, and I also had a regular column in The Bangkok Post writing education and business based articles such as the ones below. I have also written for Al Jazeera (Qatar), The English Language Gazette (UK), The Guardian (UK), the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong) and jobs.ac.uk (UK). Here are some of my articles:

    I have worked in teaching and educational management for 21 years and have taught everything from IELTS to Business teaching and from academic writing to various types of English including aviation English, technical English, corporate English, medical English and intensive programs.

    I am also a professional editor, writer and author and a freelance journalist and I have written and published articles for Al Jazeera, the South China Morning Post, the Bangkok Post, the English Language Gazette and The Guardian in the UK.

    ฿400–1,000/hour (US$11.84–29.59/hour)
