Hello,I am Mrs Paramita Barua. I am pleased to present my resume for your consideration as a tutor and a guide for all your educational problems.
to I have a Bachelor's Degree in Arts from Calcutta University. A diploma from London Montessori Centre as well as a diploma from Cambridge University. I had undertaken computer courses to learn the basics of Information Technology & then went on to replenish my computer training with a course on Multimedia.
With more than 16 years of work experience in schools of Mumbai,Kolkata and Sri Lanka and a strong desire to offer excellent education to all my students,I am confident of my ability to ameliorate the academic achievement of my pupils .
I prefer to diligently follow my children's progress chart so as to help them in the process.
As a teacher of Primary and Middle school my intentions have always been to present facts and concepts in an engaging fun way. Being a computer teacher I try to incorporate concepts of various subjects with computing skills. I prefer teaching with the help of Power point presentations and encourage my students to create presentations on any topic or concept of Science,History,Geography etc .In the process you can grasp both the utilities of a particular software as well as the concept of a lesson.
Similarly, I would encourage creating documents in Word on a particular theme or on current affairs ---social or cultural. Using spreadsheets to do sums.
Having been a mathlab teacher as well I believe in involving children to do hands on activities .Experiential learning,builds confidence,expands learning .Making models aids in retaining huge amounts of information without having to memorise any formula . I also enjoy the fact that I get to explore knowledge together with my students.
Besides, I am a big advocate of Abacus learning for primary and Middle school children. Abacus helps build a positive attitude for children . Practicing Abacus will help increase your concentration level and speed of thinking.
This period of forced confinement can be a blessing in disguise . There are many new things to learn online during this period of lockdown . Online, you can learn at our own pace. Perhaps you will discover a new you and surprise your teachers when school reopens.
