My name is Dr. Uma Sharma and I have been a chemistry tutor with more than 30 years of teaching experience in the field of organic chemistry, physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry.
I have helped hundreds of students to get top grades in different competitive exams in India(CBSE,IIT,NEET), the UK,US and Canada(AP, MCAT, Organic chemistry I, Organic chemistry II and IB chemistry). 1. Command Over Chemistry Subject- I have a thorough grasp over Chemistry (both organic and inorganic). I have taught chemistry/organic chemistry up to second grade university level to students in USA / Canada online and in a number of schools in India. A thorough knowledge of the subject helps me to ensure that my students always understand the subject being taught in its entirety and not bits and parts.
2. Clear Understanding of Problems of Students -Having taught in a number of schools, I am able to understand fully the problems faced by students in getting a complete grasp of the subject. Hence I focus on clearing these basic problems to lay a solid foundation on which the rest of the subject can be built upon.
3. Basic Approach to Teaching -I firmly believe that complete understanding of a subject can only be achieved over a sound foundation of basic knowledge. Hence my aim always is to clear the basics of the children first and then proceed to build on it further. Hence to teach a subject I give detailed explanations and lots of examples to understand the topic fully. This approach has always paid off as my students have consistently performed much better than they had being doing earlier. To prepare them for facing the competitive world my approach also includes objective learning.
5. Knowledge of Computers. -I have good knowledge of computers for online teaching using various white boards such as Webex, Wiziq, Zoom etc with pen tablet on the internet.
6.Training Content - I use my own training content that has been specifically developed keeping the requirements of students in mind. I also have Online Quizzes on my website which are made available exclusively to my students who can attempt them after each session.
