Hello, my name is Senthil Kumar, and I am a passionate and experienced music teacher based in Chennai. I have been teaching piano and keyboard music for over 30 years, specializing in both Western and Carnatic Syllabus. My journey in music education began in 1994, and since then, I have been dedicated to helping students unlock their musical potential and discover the joy of playing these wonderful instruments.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching career has preparing students for the prestigious Trinity College London music examinations. Over the years, I have successfully trained nearly 800 students for these exams, covering grades from beginner to advanced levels. Many of my students have achieved excellent results, which reflects my commitment to maintaining high standards in technique, theory, and performance.
My teaching approach is student-centered, combining classical methods with modern techniques to cater to each learner's unique goals and interests. I focus on building a strong foundation in musical skills while encouraging creativity and confidence in self-expression. Whether a student is learning music as a hobby or pursuing it professionally, I aim to create a nurturing environment that fosters both discipline and a lifelong love for music.
Being based in Chennai, my hometown, I feel privileged to share the rich traditions of both Western and Carnatic music students. I strive to ensure that each learner finds the process enjoyable and rewarding, regardless of their age or background.
Music has been my lifelong passion, and teaching allows me to share this gift with others. I look forward to continuing my journey of guiding students and inspiring them to achieve their musical dreams.
