I have taught Political Science in English for the past 6 years. I used to prepare and teach students the core concepts of political science. Generally, I use a dot-connecting strategy to understand the world’s ongoing politics at regional and state levels. In political science, timing matters a lot. What happens on which date? Which event proceeds the other? What are the master strokes in politics, and why is politics necessary for the survival of the state and the individual? Why does a state fail in her infancy, whereas other prevail? What is the significance of keeping good relations with an immediate neighboring country, and what are the benefits of maintaining alliances with emerging powers? How the economy shapes politics and vice versa. Keeping a narrow view and aloofness in this globalized world may not be fruitful in this era. States must dive deep into their economic affairs so that their financial needs may not subjugate them before anyone. A country must update its export policy every 6 months, as fast-growing economies never ignore the country’s pockets. All such analytical methods and must penetrate into the minds of freshers.
