Andre RiverosCollege Professor of Biology

I am a biologist highly trained at one of the best programs in the country. I have field and lab experience in Colombia and Panama. I received doctoral training in insect neurobiology at the University of Arizona. I am a researcher studying applied problems of global impact. I have been a professor for over 12 years in two of the most prestigious private universities in the country. I teach very challenging subjects in Animal Physiology and Animal Behavior and Cognition. I have experience with students of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry and Biology. Students grade my teaching as enjoyable and highly effective. I focus on the understanding of processes rather than on simple memorization. I am also convinced that the best to teach is through connections between students and subjects. Most importantly, I have been a student for over 22 years and fully understand the challenges of learning.
