Being a special needs teacher, I understand how to work with students that have learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, physical disabilities, autism (ASD) and many other challenges.
I use positive behavior support to teach where I reward and praise a student whenever they make any small improvement. I understand the unique challenges of my students and use simple songs to teach a concept.
I encourage active learning where students participate directly and learn by doing an activity themselves. I adjust my teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
I have an experience working with IEP and have an ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
My great patience and empathy helps students build trust and good relationships that makes them confident in class. Any small achievements made by a student in my class is celebrated and makes me so happy.
