I usually use the CLT method in my teaching (Communicative language learning). It usually does not follow a specific syllabus and different topics are learned in each session. For example, a part of a movie is shown and whatever is important to learn in this part of the movie is taught. I think Using realia and props is an efficient way of teaching English vocabulary both to kids and adults.
