For as long as I can remember, being a teacher has been the one occupation that has fulfilled me professionally and personally. My biggest satisfaction is being a teacher and building connections with students. Giving them regular, in-depth feedback that emphasizes both their strengths and places for improvement is something I enjoy doing very much. Over the last 27 years, I've taught English and (art) +design in both India and the UK. A long-dormant passion of mine for research has been reignited by the completion of my PhD. Recently, my research has improved my interactions with students and helped me become a better teacher.
I teach art and English online to students ranging in age from eight years old all the way up to university level. I help students develop their skills in both spoken and written English through engaging in practical and conversational exercises. For my art students, I allow them to progressively develop their own unique style thus helping them draw with confidence. In order to promote motivated learning, I take pleasure in creating interesting and practical tasks.
