My name is Shamsa Al Baloushi, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Chemistry. During my five years in New Zealand, I gained valuable teaching experience in two local schools: Barely Middle School, where I taught Year 7 and 8 students, and Hamilton Girls High School, where I instructed Year 9, 10, and 12 students in Science and Chemistry. These experiences allowed me to develop a strong foundation in effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and hands-on science education.
After returning to Oman, I worked as a full-time teacher for a month at Sarah Al Ibdaa International School in Muscat, teaching Science to grades 1 through 4. This role further honed my skills in adapting content for younger learners and creating an engaging, supportive environment. I am fluent in English and have a strong proficiency with educational technologies essential for interactive virtual classrooms, making me well-suited to connect with students and support their learning in an online setting.
