Teaching is not only about learning it's about engaging. So I normally ask myself at the end, "have I created an opportunity for my student to think and speak their mind?"
Most of my students set the tutoring time that is comfortable with their program so as to make this as close to the student as possible.
I enjoy the growth I see in students and knowing that as I teach they also are teaching me new ways of understanding and improving my approach.
Inspiring my students to achieve their goals brings me a lot of fulfillment. In the encounters where they share their success makes me encouraged that this work is one of the most rewarding and impactful in society. For this I cherish all my students.
