I am writing to express my interest in the teaching. Although my academic background is in computer science, my passion for education—particularly in teaching Tamil—drives my desire to inspire and engage young learners.
I have two years of experience as a volunteer teacher at the California Tamil Academy, where I worked with children from Tamil backgrounds. This role allowed me to develop tailored lesson plans that not only taught language skills but also nurtured a sense of cultural identity. I am committed to creating an interactive and supportive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and explore the richness of the Tamil language.
My background in computer science has equipped me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I incorporate into my teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles. I believe this interdisciplinary approach can enhance my students' learning experiences.
