Hi,
I believe that teaching should carry the student along. That is why I do my best to meet my students where they are and break down their difficulties by simplifying my explanations. I especially love working with young children. My most successful experience was with a love set of twin boys who attended the public school in my area and had great difficulties in pronunciation, spelling, and spoken English.
Their aunty confided in me about her worries, and I took it upon myself to teach the twins phonetics, it was quite difficult to get them to listen as they seemed uninterested, but before you knew it they could not only pronounce difficult words but spell them as well, they also developed a voracious appetite for reading. I was very proud of them.
The twins also seemed to have anger issues stemming from a lack of self-confidence in their abilities. However, with proper love and guidance, they were able to show much greater patience and control of their behavior. They also began to love and care more for themselves and those around them. Their aunt was really thankful for my help, and I could not be prouder. I was very happy to have made a change in their lives.
Such an experience along with many others has spurred me to teach other phonetics in other to give them the tools to express themselves properly and communicate with those around them
