I really enjoy being able to help my students crack the code to understanding English Language and Literature. Everyone can learn.
We just have to find what works for each person. I am very enthusiastic about Language Arts and Literature, and I love to carry my students on that journey to embrace confidence in their ability to succeed. As such, over my twenty plus years of teaching, I have worked with students with difficulty and/or challenges with Story Writing, Summary Writing, Communication forms such as Memorandums, Notices, and Simple Reports, Persuasion, Reading and Poetry Comprehension, Grammar and Vocabulary, West Indian Literature, Shakespearean plays, general Poetry and Drama texts. I have also achieved National and Regional Placements in the CSEC Englsih A and B exams, having worked with a range of students. I have taught underachieving students, failing adult learners, the dyslexic, high achievers, the fearful, the pessimistic or the downright discouraged. It is possible, and I work with my students to make it possible because without English, you cannot advance to lay hold of your future job or future studies.
