I believe that education is beyond assignments and grades; it empowers learners to know and choose what is right. I strive to make my classroom a safe place where everyone is heard, seen and respected.

I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes and grow stronger. No answer is a bad answer in our classroom and this is a space that will not judge you but protect and nurture you to achieve your best. We can learn through discussions, puzzles, debates and multimedia and help you become excellent problem solvers.

A quote by Nicholas A. Ferron, “Students who are loved at home come to school to learn; students who aren’t, come to school to be loved” inspired me to seek the meaning beyond the actions of a student. As someone who was educated by teachers who were kind, compassionate and caring, I want to continue creating a safe space for all types of students where they can be loved and develop a love for learning.
