As a language teacher i use to introduce the topic that I wanted to teach my students to the students because they need to understand the topic of that particular class in the language they understand. Then start reading the topic 2-3 times and the students are listening then follow it with practical together with body language at the same time without translation, giving them some videos to watch it practically.
listening to audios, watching videos, and using a body language are part of modern methodology than can help a student to understand and start speaking a language in a short period of time.
