My name is Jeandré Van Der Westhuizen and I live in Doha, Qatar. I have worked as an English teacher for over seven years and was a Computer and Photography teacher. I have taught over 10,000 students in three different countries, with students ranging from the ages of 3 to 22, all coming from Korea, China, Japan, Thailand, and Russia. My career started in China, then South Korea, and for the past three years

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts and Film Studies degree in 2014 at the University of Pretoria and soon after, I completed my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English for Adults) course at IH Language Lab. I also coordinated the island programs, creating curriculums and educational content for lessons. In the main program, I taught English to over 1500 new students weekly over a two-year period, where I taught multiple subjects with a focus on English and engaged in practices that enhanced their learning experiences. When I returned to South Africa, I was offered a substitute Dramatic Arts High School teacher position at FH Odendaal for Grades 10 to 12. Afterwards, I entered an online teaching and content creation journey where I taught English online for the past three years at Whales English and other online teaching companies, teaching students ages 3 to 14. Simultaneously, I started a job as an Educational Content Creator at Edu Tech.

I have a fast understanding of all different subjects, student ages, cultures, educational backgrounds and families with a deeper appeal to be an all-rounded teacher by being influential in multiple facets through my teachings.
