I am an accomplished educator and editor with over a decade of experience in teaching English at various academic institutions. I have earned a Master's degree in Literature in English from Mekelle university with a very great distinction. I am also a PhD candidate in Mekelle University working on my dissertation. I worked in Debretabor University, Axum University and Mekelle University as a lecturer, delivering undergraduate courses such as Communicative English Skills, Writing Skills, Introduction to Literature, Verse and Drama, Prose fiction, Discourse and Pragmatics, and Introduction to Ethiopian Literature, African Literature, World Literature. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Mekelle University where I am working on my dissertation on Exploring selected English novels from Ecocritical perspective. Besides, I am also working as an Editor in Tigrai Mass Media Agency in Tigray. Throughout my teaching career, I have been committed to foster a dynamic learning environment. I utilize innovative teaching methods where I learned from an online training course in OPEN. In addition to my teaching role, I work as a part-time editor for a state media organization. In this capacity, I am responsible for editing news, articles and reports ensuring clarity, coherence and adherence to journalistic standards. With my extensive background in both education and media, I embody the dual role of a dedicated educator and an insightful editor, making significant contributions to the fields of English Language and Literature and Journalism.
