Hi, my name is Sambharthan and I am an Aeronautical Engineer turned Mathematics Educator. My passion and love for my subject is something that I wish to pass on to my students. I am well versed with the British curriculum, having personally completed my GCSE’s and A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I understand the commitment and focus it requires to succeed at this level.
My experience extends beyond the classroom as I am professionally trained, have started and continue to run weekly classes for various grades and have successfully run online revision classes.
My A-Level teachers were an inspiration, and in no small way contributed to my success as an Aeronautical Engineer. I hope to draw on that, and help any student that comes across my path.

-
Researcher (Apr, 2015
–Jul, 2020) at Council for Scientific & Industrial Research ( CSIR )
Provided a new service in missile control.
Established credentials in the field, through the development of the project, "Terminal guidance of a Ballistic Missile performing evasive cork-screw manoeuvres"
Developed a methodology based on inputs from experts, in Denel, CSIR, UCT and, alongside existing technology.
Iteratively refined the methodology to understand the field and remove technical risks associated with the research. Presented the outcomes to engineering professors not familiar with the field.
Conducted a feasibility study to determine - the simulation framework needed to validate and verify the research objectives.
Successfully acquired funding - to execute simulation and modelling work normally done with expensive software.
-
Intern (Apr, 2014
–Apr, 2015) at Council for Scientific & Industrial Research ( CSIR )
Conceptual design of a Modular Transonic Research Platform as part of a team of four. Completed the performance analysis and the overall work was passed through a design review.
Presented the design review to stakeholders.
Investigated different technology platforms on which simulation frameworks were built to test objectives.
Software Analysis of FORTRAN 77 code. Fluid Flow Probe Support (FFPS) calculates points in the missile trajectory utilizing wind tunnel data and aerodynamic coefficients.
Design of a test rig for wind tunnel model installation.
Automated large volumes of data, through extraction, reconfiguration and restructuring. Embedded the data structure within software; SIMULINK.
Presented design data and research to delegates of the Air Force.
