As a fully qualified professional I have had an extensive background of over 25 years teaching experience in Sri Lanka and abroad, in the field of English Language and Literature, coaching students for Cambridge and Edexcel O/L's, A/S and A/L exams going up to Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), and IELTS with hundreds of exam takers achieving band scores of 8, 8.5, and 9 with the British Council and IDP.

Also conducted workshops for literature students, covering drama and speech where called upon to do so with several schools. Other achievements include serving on the organizing team a couple of times of the Inter-School Shakespeare Drama Competition, the Debating and Oratory competition jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Colombo North and the Colombo YMCA

My other area of work is in voice training, developing School Choirs also serving as accompanist on Piano from time to time. Served extensively in International schools in Dubai and Oman.
