I am an experienced English instructor who is enthusiastic about assisting students with their learning needs. I am a Nigerian and I live in Lagos State. My journey began in early childhood education, where I helped young students (ages 2.5 to 5) develop fundamental skills such as writing and gripping their pencils. I then spent two years teaching Key Stage 1 students, focusing on improving their reading and writing skills.
Later, I moved on to secondary education, where I taught English and literature for four years, preparing students for crucial exams such as the GCE and UTME. Currently, I teach English, Social Studies, History, and General Knowledge to Class 6 pupils, assisting them in achieving a 98-100% success record on secondary school entrance examinations both locally and abroad.
I am highly proficient in using technology and can effectively teach with a variety of Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Publisher. In addition, I am skilled at using several interactive learning platforms, such as Google Classroom, Flipgrid, Canva, Zoom, Classdojo, Nearpod, Wakelet, Kahoot, Quizzes, and Slack, among others. This makes e-learning fun.
Beyond academics, I provide a well-rounded approach to learning, combining my passions for music, reading, and cooking into my teaching. I provide personalized comments on your progress, highlighting your strengths and areas for development, as well as supplementary learning materials to help you stay ahead. Learning with me extends beyond the classroom; we'll explore books, music, and tasty dishes to make our lessons more pleasurable and interesting.
