In the context of wood carving, every piece of timber can be made into a masterpiece sculpture using entirely different techniques. As a practicing teacher for the last sixteen years, my diverse cohort demonstrates various methods to approach the same problem. My greatest strength is recognizing the beauty and power that each of these techniques holds in reaching the same goal. I believe that this ability to encourage my students to excel in their academics, regardless of their approach, nurtures them to secure scores in the upper 90th percentile of their class.

For the past sixteen years, I have consistently emphasized the core mantras of my teaching techniques with all my students: fundamentals, pace, and practice. I believe it is absolutely paramount that my students fully understand every aspect of a subject or concept, and this is only possible by dedicating significant time and effort to mastering the fundamentals, understanding every line of reasoning by creating simple analogies to clarify the concept. In terms of pacing, I tailor the speed of material coverage to fit the complexity of the concepts, slowing down for fundamental ideas and accelerating as the student gains familiarity and mastery. Finally, to achieve this mastery, the key is practice. Every concept must be repeated and reinforced countless times. As Bruce Lee famously said, "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." My routines involve sourcing multiple resources to present the same concept in various ways until it is mastered.

My diverse student cohort includes those following the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Irish curriculum. Each one of my students has excelled academically, consistently scoring above 90% across all subjects.

I believe that true excellence is a flame that starts small, but with the right technique at the right time, it can erupt into roaring flames. Every student has this flame, and it is the sole responsibility of a teacher to kindle it. Given this opportunity, every student that trains with me will achieve their vision of success in pursuit of their dream.
