I am a teacher, and part of being an awesome educator involves meeting with my students right where they are aesthetically. Accordingly, I make my teaching student-centered: students are expected to do a lot more than listen and their classwork is filled with an abundance of different tasks that challenge them actively by encouraging them to explore, and question topics in depth. As I mentioned in the Teaching Approach, only creating an environment for critical thinking voices and letting students not just remember things but understand them is another super important place.

A combination of traditional and modern methods, or a blended learning approach Students can access resources on their own time when they utilize digital tools, online content, or interactive assignments. I like to keep my lessons organized but open, allowing for some creative tinkering and curiosity.

I teach using differentiated instruction, which is important to me because not everyone learns the same way: Some people are visual learners; some learn from hearing information and still others need to listen or be hands-on. I use group work, discussions, and hands-on activities to encourage cooperation as well as actual learning. Feedback and regular assessments ensure progress, with me always being at hand if guidance or support is required.

Finally, I prioritize developing a relationship with my students where kids are not afraid to ask questions and simply have their voices heard. I encourage them to be self-regulated students, and I give them the power over their learning.
