My qualities of being an islamic studies teacher include patience, empathetic, compassionate, hardworking, motivational.
I would also say my teaching style consist of the Facilitator style (more of an activity based style). My method of teaching doesn't just consist of me speaking and the student hearing, instead I cater to their needs for example, l incorporate visual learning (through whiteboards),hands on learning (through colouring/work sheets), experiential learning (through matching the Arabic alphabet card letters up) and much more.
This has allowed my students to love learning the foundation of their Islamic knowledge, and continue having the eagerness to want to know more. This was reflected when their parents/guardians reached out with positive feedback, Alhamdulillah.
What makes me a great teacher is that I build a one to one bond with each of my students, this is done through observing and understanding their own special personality, this helps as they then can became more comfortable and confident in their learning.
