Dr. Saurabh Bhatt is a well-known name in the indian music and theatre world of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Born in a traditional folk family of the popular folk-drama "Jaipur Tamasha" of Rajasthan, Dr. Saurabh Bhatt is the son of popular Tamasha practitioner and theatre artist Vasurdev Bhatt of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Dr. Bhatt is a family artist who has been continuously working in the field of folk theare and Tamasha as well as modern theatre since his childhood. Having done his M.A. (Gold Medalist) in Indian classical music from Rajasthan university, Dr. Saurabh Bhatt has also achieved excellence in the field of theatre and music and along with his team, he is involved in the revival of jaipur Tamasha and music along with other members of the classical music Jaipur Tamasha for 30 years. For the last 30 years. He has been playing the role of a musical in folk drama Tamasha Gopichand and Tamasha Ranjha Heer and have left an unmatched mark in the hearts of people with your powerful singing.
Dr. Saurabh Bhatt has also written a book on Jaipur Tamasha (Jaipur ka Lok Natya Tamasha (Udbhav, Vikash evam Aadhunik Parivartan Swarup) in which he has given a very beautiful analysis of the traditional origin of Jaipur Tamasha, its journey of development and the modern changed form of Tamasha. This book published by North Zone Cultural Center was released by the Governor of Punjab State Shri Banwari Lal Purohit ji. Apart from this, Dr. Bhatt has also written a folk play “Kahi Tharo Kariyon Mai Kasoor” based on the problem of “child marriage” and this play has been performed many times. Being a famous folk artist of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
