My name is Joyce Benson. I am a teacher of Swahili and Christian Religious Education. I teach both boys and girls. I have 15 years teaching experience. I am loving compassionate and have a listening ear. My students are my friends sons and daughters. I am patient especially with the beginners which makes my learners attain confidence and high self esteem. I believe learning swahili is possible and i encourage my learners to have self confidence and determination. I lower myself to the level of my learners so that they dont see me an their teacher but a friend who is assisting them to learn. Many of my learners have excelled in their endeavors. Others have become Swahili teachers like me. This makes me very proud of them. Apart from teaching i engage my learners in mother- children talk. Some ask me personal questions and concerns. I answer them in love and this creates a strong bond between us. Teaching is my life and I love it. Even for slow learners or beginners, i manage very well. Thank you.
