BIOLOGY: Biology is a branch of science that deals with living organisms and their vital processes. Cell: The basic unit of life, consisting of cytoplasm, organelles, and a cell membrane. Cells can be prokaryotic (no nucleus) or eukaryotic (with a nucleus).
DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid): The molecule that carries genetic information in living organisms, consisting of two strands that form a double helix.
Gene: A segment of DNA that contains the instructions for making a specific protein or RNA molecule.
CHEMISTRY: Chemistry is a branch of natural science that deals principally with the properties of substances, the changes they undergo, and the natural laws that describe these changes.
Organic chemistry: is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds.
Inorganic chemistry: is concerned with the properties and behavior of inorganic compounds, which include metals, minerals, and organometallic compounds.
PHYSICS: The scientific study of matter, energy, space, and time, and of the relations between them.
MATTER: is defined as anything that has mass and occupies space. It consists of particles, which can be atoms or molecules, and it can exist in different states: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. Here are some key aspects of matter in the context of physics.
Mass: A measure of the amount of matter in an object, typically measured in kilograms or grams. Mass is a fundamental property that contributes to an object’s weight when affected by gravity.
Volume: The amount of space that matter occupies, measured in cubic units (e.g., liters, cubic meters).
States of Matter: Matter can exist in different forms, each with distinct properties:
Solid: Has a fixed shape and volume, with closely packed particles that vibrate in place. Liquid: Has a definite volume but takes the shape of its container, with particles that are close together but can move freely. Gas: Has neither a fixed shape nor a fixed volume, with widely spaced particles that move independently. Plasma: An ionized state of matter with free electrons and ions, found in stars and neon signs.
