Hi! My name is Kavya Shine. I am a Bharatanatyam dancer, still undergoing training in the Kalakshetra style.

From time immemorial, my life has always revolved around dance. Amma started teaching Bharatanatyam in the year 2003. Ever since then, I was surrounded by the joy of dance and music. Unaware that Bharatanatyam would play such an important role in my life, I kept dancing around all the time. Be it walking, talking or playing.. dance has always been a part of me. When the pandemic hit in 2020 and online learning came into being, a few of amma's students requested her to take classes online. But because of her small small physical limitations she was unable to take class. It was at that moment, I asked her, "amma, why can't I take classes?" That's how it all began. With amma's help initially, I started teaching few of her students.

This is my journey • My students are my friends. From the tiny tots to the aunties. We share our knowledge and help each other grow every single time! One thing I keep reminding my students is that, be grateful that you are able to dance, it's God's gift.

I have always loved teaching and will sincerely give my 100% in helping my students grow.
