Initial trained as a teacher of mathematics and physics after graduating with Bachelor of Education ( science). I taught in a county school in the rural home and later joined a National school category school for 17 years.
All my lessons were student centered approach. I give students a task after brief description to discuss in groups. I appreciate group that's has done well. Our discussion involve lecture, demonstrations/ experiment and question/ answer.Have produced many students students joining University both local and international. 2019 my student obtained a scholarship to study in Harvard University ( USA) . In 2022, another student got a scholarship to study in Auston University ( USA). Have good interpersonal relationships with my learners, ensuring the learning environment is healthy and friendly.i make students own the lesson and enjoy it. I have good methods of Evaluation and motivating the learners. Apart from classroom work,I expose them to outside classroom really life applications of what is learned in class. I set objectives of the lesson straight and in the end,we evaluate together with learners wether we have achieved our objectives.

Experience

  • Principal graduate. (Jan, 2007–Jun, 2024) at I worked as mathematics and physics teacher in a high school under the teachers service commission.
    As a teacher and Head of Department, organised lesson plans, lesson notes,schemes of work, learning materials, timetables, and other management records for the smooth delivery of content in both physics and mathematics. I taught from grade 9 to 12, preparing students for higher learning( University). Planned for exhibitions and competitions among secondary school students of Nairobi county in Kenya. I prepared students for National Exams that was used to place students in various courses of choice in the University and middle level colleges. I participated in mentorship program for students to prepare them for future responsibilities. I exposed them to international competitions particular international Science and Engineering fair and mathematics Olympiad competition ( these are both international competitions worldwide). There was also interswich competition for promoting sciences and mathematics in Africa, that my students excelled and obtained University Education scholarship.
