I am a Computer Science student at the University of Pretoria. I matriculated in 2022 with 7 distinctions (Mathematics, Physics, IT, Accounting, English, Afrikaans, Life Orientation). I have a year of tutoring experience, teaching classes, online and face-to-face. I have a down to earth and patient approach, with a focus on grasping and applying concepts in line with strategies to tackling tests. I teach study methods, pacing, and help learners to build confidence in themselves. I have helped learners improve their marks significantly, with one ongoing student going from a 26% to a 50% in the span of one test, for mathematics in Grade 11. I simplify topics, make them more approachable and understandable through demonstration of practical uses, and help learners take a deliberate and logical approach to test-writing. I have a passion for the topics, and I find great joy in sharing my knowledge and helping learners grow. I am confident in my ability to help learners overcome their academic challenges, whatever they may be.
