I have a total of eight years of experience in Textile Design and pattern drafting in Italy. Teaching you would be transferring the knowledge I have acquired to accelerate your personal or professional growth, which is an added benefit to you as well as help your journey to also impart to others.

I am here to help you deepen your understanding and knowledge of the subjects and areas you find difficult to understand as well as assist you build your confidence in your abilities, which will direct your career path.

Experience

  • Pattern drafting. (Sep, 2010–Mar, 2011) at Scuola di moda Oltremari Loretta SNC - Prato, Italy.
    Worked close with the owners to interpret the clients’ ideas from design to production.
    This entailed drafting manual patterns and translating the same to computer Aided Designs using the FK System software for grading.
  • Technical Designer. (Feb, 2007–Aug, 2008) at Florentrade Srl.- Prato, Italy.
    Florentrade Srl was a company designing and producing sportswear. Designing was in the head office in Italy, while the production line in Turkey.
    Duties:
    Working close with the Merchandiser, fashion design team and production line as a link person to offer support to the departments in Italy and Turkey by creating bilingual technical worksheets and
    specifications, follow up on the products from sampling to final production.
  • Textile Designer. (Apr, 2005–Jul, 2006) at Apollo S.P.A, Capalle, Italy.
    Apollo Spa specialize in the design and production of upholstery for domestic, automotive, airplane and boat furniture.
    Duties:
    Create technical textile designs using the textile design CAD software. Designing technical patterns from concept themes and trends to fabric samples for marketing to various stakeholders, which then upon
    approval are reproduced.
    Follow up on production, create worksheets, codify and filing.
  • Textile Sampler. (Sep, 2002–Mar, 2005) at Filati BE.MI.VA Spa.- Campi Bisenzio, Italy.
    Filati BE.MI.VA specialize in the design of yarns for knitwear.
    Duties:
    Work on concept themes and create technical knit designs on the machinery. Quality check, to ensure the specifications of yarn and quality parameters are in line with the machine specifications.
    Create elaborate knit patterns to interpret the yarn for marketing. Participate in the Pitti yarn fair to showcase the end product.
  • Apprentice - Knit Pattern Designer. (Nov, 1999–May, 2000) at Maglificio Alex Tricot S.R.L, Prato, Italy.
    Maglificio Alex Tricot (Zanobetti) specialize in the design and production of knitwear.
    Duties:
    Liaise with the fashion designer and create knit design patterns using the CAD system software for Stoll CMC machines, from sampling to production. Create a filing system for designs both in soft and hard copy for future use.
