I am a certified English and Literature Tutor with 27 years’ experience in both High School and Teacher Training College making learning enjoyable based on individual student’s needs.
Additionally, I am skilled at delivering engaging lessons to facilitate the learning of complex English and Literature concepts while encouraging active participation. Effective communicator who promotes a high-performance culture by providing students with the necessary tools to achieve their academic goals in English and Literature. I have used varied methods of teaching- group work, discussion, simulation, fieldwork and more recently the integration of ICT. In the course of my teaching I have prepared and presented students to national examinations both in high school and teacher training college. Their results have been very impressive; post a percentage pass of over 90%, hence securing chances at the next levels. I am engaged in English and Literature related co-curricular activities namely drama and music. I script and direct plays for both stage and screen performance during the annual Kenya National Drama and Film Festival. In the annual Kenya Music Festival, I have composed poems based on various themes.
