Hi there! I’m a British national teacher from the UK, currently working in the UAE. I’m passionate about supporting children outside of regular classroom hours and specialize in English, though I’m also experienced in helping with math and science.

As an English specialist, I’ve taught in both primary and secondary school settings in the UK. I pride myself on being calm, patient, and approachable, with a particular focus on supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD and autism. I have extensive knowledge of strategies to effectively support and nurture these children, helping them thrive academically and personally.

Experience

  • Homeroom teacher (Aug, 2023–Present) at Al Riyadh Charter School
    During this time, I was a homeroom teacher for Grade 5, and it was my first experience working with many children who were ELL learners, as well as managing a full class of 30 students.

    I was also given the responsibility of being a pod leader, where I managed the behavior and needs of my own class, as well as those of children in neighboring classrooms, when necessary.

    Through this time I taught English in lower school (years 4-7) and also History (years 4-11).
