I have a lot of experience and although I am an older teacher, I still relate well with young people, especially teenagers. I believe that learning has to be challenging, matched to the ability level of the student(s), as well as enjoyable and fun. I have taught A level and IB Economics for very many years and have never had a student fail to obtain a grade. Most students I teach obtain grades A* to C (weighted to the upper level of pass grade) or Level 5-7 at IB Diploma level - again weighted towards Levels 6 and 7.
I believe that learning is defined as 'using what you know already to work out what you don't know - yet!' In other words making mistakes and learning from them is the only way to learn anything new. Mistakes are a good thing and are often fun to make. That means that as the students or learners, as I prefer to call them become independent learners, as they will have to be at university. This means that my role is to help you learn and not simply give you information. I am also writing a Textbook of Economics - the Microeconomics section which is now completed.
If you ask me to help you, I guarantee you 100% of my time and effort to ensure that your expectations are met, if not exceeded - that is my aim!
