Individual differences play a significant role in teaching and learning a second language. These differences include age, motivation, cognitive style, cultural identity, etc. Such individual differences are determining factors in deciding about instructional materials and teaching methodology. Such differences can influence how students engage with instructional materials. Moreover, no single method fits all learners. Therefore, I choose different materials depending on the learner's characteristics and use an eclectic method for teaching English, focusing on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). In other words, I use various materials and a combination of multiple methods depending on the lesson and the learner. However, I prioritize learning the language for communication rather than learning about the language without being able to communicate.
