I am a passionate teacher. I have a great flair for teaching and this can be seen in the way I teach my students. I teach based on the individual needs of my students. My style of teaching is student-specific. In other words, I identify the area of a student's deficiency and work on that area. I also adopt diverse methods of teaching, so as to make my class as interesting as possible. My methodology is also dependent on my student. If I'm working on a pupil in nursery or primary, I would use play method, tell stories if need be, sing songs, dance, and do lots of positive reinforcements. However, if my student is a teenager or an adult, I may build on their previous knowledge, tell true life scenarios to capture what I am teaching or do whatever works best for the student. I also do a lot of drills to enforce what I have taught my students. To assess and evaluate my students and ascertain their level of comprehension or the level at which knowledge has been imparted. I assess them based on three levels: cognitive affective and psychomotor. For instance, if I teach how to say the alphabet and sound the letters A to Z. I would ensure it does not just stick to a student's brain but the student would also be able to sound all the letters, pronounce words when the sounds are combined and form new words himself/herself. My results have always been tremendous! No student fails when I teach them and my students can testify that they are proficient and competent in English because I taught them.
