Hello, my name is Ilaiza Lappay, but you call me teacher Lai. I am from the Philippines, and I have a passion for education and cultural exchange.
I am a graduate of BA Education with Certificate in Teaching Junior High School at Philippine Normal University, the National Center for Teacher Education.
I am a Licensed Professional Teacher, and I have been teaching Junior High School students and adults for about four years in a face-to-face setting. Additionally, I have been attending tutoring classes for children and adults through a blended mode of instruction. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and adaptability in the classroom, as I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an inclusive, interactive, and student-centered environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and explore new ideas. I’m excited to bring innovative teaching methods, such as differentiated instruction and experiential learning, to my future classroom.
Apart from teaching, I am also an athlete and a musician; in fact, I sing and play several musical instruments, including the guitar, bass, and drums.
I am eager to embark on this journey in Taiwan and look forward to contributing to the success of your institution. I hope to inspire my students as much as I have been inspired by my own teachers.
