I am a senior journalist with over 20 years of experience in print media and a strong background in mentoring and skill development. My journalism journey began in 2005 with Early Times, followed by a role as a Sports Correspondent with Daily Excelsior (2006–2012), where I had the privilege of covering numerous national-level sports events.

In 2012, I joined The Tribune as a Staff Correspondent in the Jammu Bureau, focusing on education and sports beats until September 2020. Currently, I serve as a Sub Editor/Senior Correspondent with Greater Jammu, contributing to impactful stories and maintaining my commitment to quality journalism.

Beyond journalism, I am the founder of the Institute of Mass Communication and Skill Development (IMCSD), recognized by Startup India and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Through IMCSD, I have mentored over 1,000 students from various colleges affiliated with the University of Jammu and the Cluster University of Jammu.

Under initiatives like the Summer Media Internship Programme, I have facilitated hands-on media training, empowering students with practical knowledge in journalism, communication, and creative writing. My efforts also include establishing School Media Clubs to provide early media exposure to students.

Academically, I hold a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology and a Master’s in Computer Science. I have also earned 11 international journalism certifications from prestigious organizations such as AFP, Reuters, Thomson Foundation, UNICEF, and WHO.

Based in District Samba, Jammu & Kashmir, I am deeply passionate about guiding aspiring journalists, enhancing their skills, and contributing to the development of a robust media ecosystem.
