I firmly believe in fostering a friendly and inclusive learning environment for students, where they feel supported and inspired to explore their artistic potential. My passion for Kathak drives me to share this beautiful art form with as many people as possible, and the joy of teaching and connecting with students through dance is truly fulfilling.

For me, teaching dance is not just about imparting technical skills; it is about nurturing creativity, encouraging self-expression, and helping students discover their unique artistic voices. I view dance pedagogy as a multifaceted process that goes beyond movement, it encompasses emotional growth, cultural appreciation, and a deeper understanding of oneself and the art form.

An essential component of my teaching philosophy is fostering diversity and equity in the learning environment. I strive to create spaces where every student, regardless of their background or experience, feels valued and empowered. I believe that celebrating individuality and embracing varied perspectives enriches the learning process and helps build a strong, supportive community within the classroom.

Sharing my love for Kathak while fostering an environment of respect, inclusion, and mutual learning is at the heart of my approach to teaching. I aim to inspire students to embrace their artistry with confidence and passion, knowing they are part of an inclusive and dynamic learning journey.

    As a dedicated member of Nad-Roop School of Kathak Dance and Music, I trained under the esteemed Pandita Guru Shama Bhate for over 15 years. Serving as one of the lead dancers in her performing troupe, I developed extensive expertise in performing, teaching, tutoring, and choreographing. This role provided invaluable experience in presenting traditional Kathak, mentoring students, and creating original choreographic works for personal and collaborative endeavors.
