I am a student centred tutor that seeks to understand and teach every learner with the method that is most appealing to the same. I do that by first of all seeing and relating with the learner as another human with his/her peculiar traits, preferences and challenges; creating an open ended relationship with the learner that allows for the free flow of knowledge, thereby creating an opportunity for impact.
This method has worked for many learners over the years with tremendous results to show.
My experience with Ogundein Nifemi comes to mind, a 12 years old, 9th grader that had challenges with mathematics and could not also identify and express what the challenge was.
The above-mentioned method allowed her connect first with herself, then with me, then with mathematics. The story a testimonial to the power of student centred approach to tutoring challenged students
