I completed my G.C.E. A/L exams at Royal College - Colombo 7 with a z-score of 2.4185, which led to my selection for the Faculty of Engineering at the prestigious University of Moratuwa. Currently, I am thriving as a 2nd-year undergraduate in the Faculty of Engineering.

With three years of experience working closely with A/L students, I have a proven track record of helping them enhance their marks in term tests and effectively prepare for their G.C.E. A/L exams. I have a keen understanding of the diverse ways students grasp theoretical concepts, and I tailor my teaching methods to accommodate their learning styles, all in a friendly and supportive environment.

In my classes, I prioritize individual attention, closely observing how each student approaches different types of questions. I motivate them with innovative study tips drawn from my own successful A/L experience, which has significantly contributed to their achievements.

When conducting paper classes, I prefer a group setting that fosters a friendly yet competitive atmosphere, enabling students to practice managing exam pressure. I firmly believe this approach has empowered them to face their exams confidently, resulting in many achieving their aspirations of being selected for Engineering and Medicine Faculties.

Experience

  • Mentor- Mind Guides Project (Oct, 2023–Jan, 2024) at Old Royalist Engineerimg Professionals' Association
    I volunteered as a mentor for the " Mind Guides" project to guide young royalists to excel at their advanced-level exams. I worked closely to set up their mentality to prepare for the exams by giving necessary instructions to obtain their best during the last few months before the examination. At the same time, I conducted rapid revisions and helped to practice them to write answers for the questions to the point.
  • Instructor (Mar, 2022–Feb, 2023) at Niyasra Institute-Moratuwa
    I worked as a Physics paper marking instructor by handling a paper class consisting of more than 100 students. I was the mentor for 3 students personally under the mentoring programme and I guided them to achieve their best in A/Ls. ( One student was selected to the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Moratuwa and two of my mentees were selected to Faculty of Medicines at University of Peradeniya and University of Kelaniya respectively.)
  • Resource Person-Model Paper and Marking Scheme Preparation (Mar, 2022–Feb, 2023) at Markong schemes preparation for Term test papers for a Publication
    I prepared marking schemes for past term test papers of well-reputed schools to publish as a booklet consisting of past term test papers with marking schemes for the students to excel in their exams. I mainly prepared marking schemes for Combined Maths and Physics past papers. At the same time, I worked as a resource person to prepare questions for the model papers as well. That is another project that has been done by me and my team to help students prepare for new questions by challenging themselves to face new questions confidently.
