I have a strong academic background in Psychology, including a
B.A. degree from Kenyatta University, worked as a learning support teacher for more than 5 years and with imminent graduation with a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy, I’m developing a solid understanding of human behavior, learning, and communication.
My pursuit of continuous learning has led me to, among many more, a 40-hour RBT certification from the University of Nevada/USIU, an ASHA-accredited certificate in “An Evidence-Based Approach for Self-Regulation and
Management: From Meltdowns to Function”, a Tes certificate in “Child protection for International schools” and my current pursuit towards Behavior Analyst certification.
Over the years, I have garnered substantial experience that indicates my dedication to helping those I’m charged with to thrive. I have effectively utilized ABA/Speech Therapy principles in teaching communication, literacy, numeracy, IT, Independent play and work skills as well as addressing behaviors of concern in clinical, educational, and home settings.
My roles as a learning support teacher at Woodland Star and Izola Life Limited has equipped me with skills to facilitate inclusion, collaborate with various service providers and dispense tailored interventions. I am committed to ensuring those under my charge have increased activity, independence, participation and can advocate for themselves effectively.
