My name is Jim Kroll. I grew up in Houston, Texas, but I now live in Istanbul, Turkey. For all of the past 13 years I have lived in Turkey, I have been teaching English and learning Turkish. I have seen language learning from both sides, and I know neither side is easy.
When I was younger, I played professional baseball but stopped to attend university with academics receiving a bachelor’s degree in both political science and biology. Now that I am older, teaching myself and my 8 year old daughter songs on the piano, watching movies, and reading books. The science fiction genre is my favorite. I hope to help you reach your language goals.
