I believe being a good teacher comes down to two things. First, really knowing your subject and being able to simplify it, finding ways to help students understand and reach their goals. Second, building a good relationship with your students based on respect and kindness. When students feel comfortable and like their teacher, they connect with the subject and do well. But if they’re not comfortable, it’s hard to reach them or teach them anything. A strong, positive connection makes all the difference and helps create a lasting impact on their learning journey.
