As an aspiring PhD scholar at CSIR with more than ten years of experience in biological sciences, my teaching style is built on the belief that learning should be engaging, practical, and memorable. I don’t believe in the conventional method of rote memorization where students simply memorize content without understanding its application. Instead, I focus on teaching through demonstrations and games that make complex concepts easy to understand and remember. This method not only helps students grasp difficult topics but also allows them to see how the knowledge is relevant in real-world scenarios.
Teaching Methodology:
My teaching methodology centers on active learning. I aim to make every lesson interactive and application-based. Instead of passive lectures, I incorporate hands-on demos, interactive games, and practical examples that allow students to experience the material firsthand. By doing this, I ensure that they not only understand the theory but also learn how to apply it in real-life contexts.
Results:
The expected outcome of this approach is that students will have a deeper understanding of the subject and will be able to retain knowledge much longer. The use of demos and games makes learning more fun and engaging, which ultimately helps students remember what they've learned throughout their lives. They will not just recall facts for exams, but truly understand the subject matter and be able to use it in practical situations.
What Makes Me a Better Teacher:
What sets me apart as a teacher is my ability to make learning both enjoyable and effective. With over a decade of experience in biological sciences, I can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. I believe in creating a learning environment where students are actively involved, making learning a memorable experience. This approach not only helps students excel academically but also encourages them to develop a lifelong passion for the subject.
