I am currently a 4th year medical student who previously graduated from ACS (Independent). I took 6 years of the IP / IB program, completing my IB diploma with a full score of 45 points, including a 7 for HL Math, Biology and Chemistry. I also did my extended essay in biology, for which I scored an A.

I’ve been a tutor for over 2 years now, having tutored many IP / IB students from various schools including MGS, ACS (Independent), ACS (International) etc. I mainly focus on Maths and Biology, and all my students thus far have seen grade improvements.

For instance I previously tutored a year 4 IP student in mathematics (also assisted with her courseworks), helping her to go from a fail to 70% in both A and E maths over the span of 6 months. I have also tutored multiples students in IB, which my recent student seeing a massive improvement from a 4 in maths to 7 for prelims, now awaiting his IB results.

Having personally been through the program, I feel like I am very familiar with the syllabus and have a good understanding of the struggles student go through. I’ve spent 6 years figuring out what works and make it a point to bring that to my students. Every lesson I try to use resources that I personally used while studying to break down concepts in a simple and digestable way. I’ve also curated worksheets and assignments particularly for maths which help students with their weak points.

    Have plenty of experience teaching IP / IB students, particularly in Maths and Biology. I've taught students from various institutions, including ACS(I), MGS and a few international schools. Having graduated from the program myself, I am very familiar with the curriculum and the struggles students face. I have experience teaching students from grade 7 (year 1) to grade 12 (year 6) and create personalised resources for each of them to suite their learning needs.

    For example, I previously taught a Year 4 (grade 10) IP MGS student A/E maths who saw a grade improvement from fail to 70+ in just over 6 months, just in time for her final exams. I've also taught a IB Year 6 (grade 12) student HL maths, who saw improvements from a 4 to 7 for prelims, now awaiting his IB.
