Hi,
I am an experienced pathologist with a wide-ranging experience extending over 25 years, across different countries. I have worked at government, private, and charitable institutions and have been actively involved in teaching and training juniors and students.
As a doctor, one never ceases to be a student and the art of medicine can only be learned by sharing knowledge and experience. I believe, that it is very important for doctors to share their experience with the next generation, as what we learn from our patients is not always covered in the medical books. Just like medicine, teaching is an art, based on science. It is important to understand what the students need and what their expectations, likes, and dislikes are. The process of learning has to be interactive and fun. It has to be a proactive and interactive journey and students cannot be just passive recipients of information. The western system of education where no question is invalid and no query is stupid, is one of the guiding principles based on which I have evolved as a teacher over the years.
