Teaching Islam and the Quraan is my passion. I have dedicated my life to this and began teaching during my holidays two years before completing my 5 year Aalimah course in 1996. My studies started with learning basic Arabic and moved on to in-depth learning of various Islamic Sciences including Translation of the Quraan, Tafseer, Fiqh, Aqaaid, Seerah, Taareekh, Usool or principles of Fiqh, Tafseer and Ahadith and culminated with the reading of the collections of Ahadith known as the Sihaah Sittah including Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim under the tutelage of teachers with a direct link through their chains of narration to our Beloved Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

Teaching has been the cornerstone of my life for the last 30 years and I have never stopped teaching elementary Islamic subjects using the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa's Tasheel series as the basis of my lessons. Several girls have completed their hifz with me over the period and my emphasis is on proper tajweed and absolute memorization. I have also taught Riyaadhus Saaliheen, Tafseer and Nurul Eedaah in Arabic and English.

Some of my students have been with me for 13 years from Grade R right through to the end of their schooling.

My hope is that Allah crowns my endeavours over the years with acceptance in His Court!

I sincerely look forward to guiding more children towards that which pleases our Rabb
