I am currently a first-year engineering student seeking to enhance my skills through tutoring. I find that teaching allows me to retain information more effectively for the long term and to refine my critical thinking abilities.
Additionally, I view tutoring as an opportunity to improve my communication skills with individuals of all ages.
Having once had a strong aversion to Mathematics, I now recognize it as a language akin to English, which, with a touch of imagination, can be navigated reasonably.
To tutor, I believe in using rhymes for rememberance, creating hypotheticals, using color in written material, and providing images.
I also do not believe in the "one size fits all" approach, and consider it important to engage students differently by first assessing their current abilities, limitations in learning, communication styles, and learning styles.
